That was absolutely lovely.
Great to hear! Thanks for playing! :D
I loved this game, it really touched my heart and the graphics were awesome as well
Woah, that's so nice to hear! I'm glad I could make something that managed to do that
You sure did
nice, chill game. really cute, colorful graphics. interesting narrative that touched on a more serious subject. wish there was a free mode for the scene sledding; that part was really fun. good game, really liked it!
Hey, glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the video!
Yeah Scene Sledding is deliberately minimal, both for scope reasons during the jam and because (true to actually doing something like Scene Sledding) it's not really intended to be actually all that fun. It more serves as a way to add a bit of interactivity to the experience and help put the player more into the shoes of the protagonist.
Also "Hey, who taught you about scene sledding? - *snores immediately*" was good :P
Wonderful thought provoking little game with a message. Wonderful stuff :)
Thank you! Great to hear you appreciated it so much!
OMG This game was so frigging cute, the art and the story as well! Also, I now have a name for "scene sledding" :D
Aw, thank you!
And yeah it's absolutely something I've done without having a term for it too (well, normally not specifically with a guy sledding but still). Actually between that and the narrative a lot of this game was drawn from my own experiences, just put in a different context.
Hello, I play your game and made gameplay video on Peertube. I like your game especially the story and pixel art, but I have little thing that I don't like such as the text is almost hard to read and the resolution of the game is too small.
This is the gameplay video: https://peertube.video/videos/watch/5918b947-17a3-4791-9e49-8feff69d64c5
Thank you very much for making this game :-)
Hey, thanks so much!
The resolution and font are inherent to PICO-8, so unfortunately there's no real way around those. (I could make a custom font but then it'd be a struggle to fit enough text on screen). You can, however, go into fullscreen mode with Alt+Enter if that helps.
Yeah, thank you for the fullscreen tip and make this game :-)
