Hm. I like the concept. Biggest concern is that both the Exhaustion and Defeat mechanics look liable to cause a deathspiral - though I notice that Human Flaws might not be entirely disadvantageous, if they give you more leeway for Snapping productively.

I don't see any hard incentive for taking Organ flaws, and the soft incentive of 'descriptive leeway' only counts so far. I might consider allowing players to take a Perk when they take an Organ Flaw, as they mutate further from their initial purpose.

This mutation rate also strongly implies a short campaign; you'd accrue too many modifiers otherwise. Perhaps a stalling tactic where you use a Perk to cancel a Flaw would work, for longer stories?

Thanks for giving this some close thought!

While it's not explicitly stated in the text, death spiral mechanics are actually a core idea I wanted to explore here. I think they fit well, at least thematically, for the Rejection system, but agree they may be a bit too broadly applied outside of that. Maybe removing the Exhaustion spiral and replacing some of the complication/advantage table results with more neutral options would help.

I def agree the Flaw and Perk accumulation rate is likely too fast for campaign play; there should probably be more rules around how often you can select them and which types you can select. Space constraints may make pacing those out better tricky tho, we'll see.

Also, point of clarification: as-written, Organ Flaws and Perks notably apply regardless of form - the idea is the transformation you are undergoing as part of a Beast is affecting yourself even as a Human. So you have access to both types of Flaws for Snapping. It's a fair point that the system gives little incentive to pick Organ Flaws tho, that could use some tuning.

It was reasonably clear that Organ Flaws were available for Snapping, but I suppose I didn't say that clearly. It doesn't look like there's any way to Snap while staying in Beast form, though.

Another thing that might be worth limited layout space is an inspirational media list, given that the deathspirals are intended. I'm guessing SSSS.Gridman is on there, based on a short story I've read apparently inspired by that series. Maybe also Monster Pulse, given the bodypart-themed-superpowers? I haven't read that one either, though...
