Beautiful little game!

What a WONDERFUL little game. I love the way you managed to make a mechanic out of the camera turning and asked me to engage with the beautiful faux 3d.

And the finale? Chef kiss.

Aww thank you so much! I'm glad you had such a great time with it!

Hey! It's me again.  Excellent game!

It's a very charming game with neat 3d like graphics. I just wish there was more game to explore

This was incredibly charming. I love the 3D effect and my favourite part was the snow storm. Overall, excellent game! Thank you for making this.

Good game with pleasant graphic and music. Thank you for this game.

AWESOME

That lake part almost had me for a sec there lol! Great work this was a lot of fun!

UPDATE: I got a LOT of requests to add a checkpoint in the lake, so I've re-evaluated that section and added one!
I also upped the difficulty of the final portion of the lake a little to make it feel more balanced between them, but it should still be significantly less punishing overall.

Thank you so much for making this charming game you made me have such a lovely time. One suggestion -> you should add some checkpoints in the lake so you don’t have to retry all the time. Otherwise It was amazing

Let's talk about the lake.

yes...

Great Graphics! Love it.

Short and cute, though the lake felt like it should've had a checkpoint and the blindly following the dog barks part was a little confusing. The camera felt smooth and the story/dialogue was heartwarming. Overall, I'd say it's worth the play.

Thanks for playing! The lake could have used a checkpoint I suppose, although once you've got the path visible at least it's not terrible long either. And the intended effect of the whiteout section is to be confused and disoriented since your character is too :P

I do think the lake was fine once you got the path, it just felt like, "If there's going to be a checkpoint, this is where it would be." I understand what you mean about the blizzard bit and the disorientation. It accomplished what you wanted: I was confused and disoriented.  :P

Amazing! These PICO-8 games surprise me every time.

Hey, thanks so much for the video and I'm glad you enjoyed it! (Also props for flawlessly navigating the lake - first time I've heard of someone doing that!)

Good game!

Jusiv you've done it again!

Awesome game! Loved it. Will there be a sequel? Playing as the dog looking for the new cat that mr. Jones adopted.

I don't have any plans for a sequel, but I'm glad you liked it so much! (And that would be a good way to approach it)

I enjoy the work either way. great job.

Really cool game, I really dig hiking/walking games so it is greate for me (wish it was longer :c ). I like that you made it kinde 3D gives it a nice vibe.

Thank you! This project really boiled down to me exploring what you can do with a 3D isometric view in PICO-8. I def feel like I was channeling a tiny bit of games like A Short Hike with the low-res 3D look and navigation focus.
And as for length, yeah it's super brief but I actually filled up nearly the entire PICO-8 cart - I unfortunately couldn't make it that much longer if I tried.
